Volunteer Artists Needed! – Badly Drawn Pets

Here’s your chance to put your artistic skills to good use and help Scotland’s animals! We are looking for you to get creative and join our team of budding artists to draw some one-of-a-kind pet pawtraits that are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Now the clue is in the name! Our Badly Drawn Pets fundraiser means you don’t need to have a degree in fine art so we’re open to even the most basic artistic skills. We are looking for you to get creative and have fun while helping to raise important funds for Scotland’s animals.

How does it work?

Pet owners will submit a picture and a short description of their pet to have a unique pet pawtrait created. These will then be randomly assigned to our volunteer artists who will then draw a master piece (we use this term loosely) in the likeness of the pet. Each pet pawtrait will then be returned to the pet owner to treasure and hang on their wall (or hide it in the back of the wardrobe).

This activity will be a light-hearted opportunity for people to volunteer their time and the expectations of the final artwork are deliberately set low to keep it fun for everyone. So if you have some basic art skills and time to spare, sign up to become a volunteer artist for the Scottish SPCA to create some Badly Drawn Pets.
