Volunteer Wildlife Driver (Highlands & Islands)
We need help to carefully transport wildlife casualties from across the Highlands & Islands to our wildlife station in Inverness and our National Wildlife Rescue Centre in Fishcross, near Alloa .
This is a minimum six hour round trip (less if meeting our Senior Rescue Officer at a meet-up point), so you should be fit for driving longer distances and enjoy driving, as well as having a passion for wildlife.
To carry out this role you will require a full UK Driving Licence and will be asked to provide a DVLA Check Code to us as part of the application process.
You will be provided with a Scottish SPCA van to drive and all fuel costs will be paid by the Society. Full training will be given and necessary PPE and equipment provided, and you will have a named supervisor who will support you in your volunteering role. Please note that applicants who do not meet the required criteria for this position will not be considered.
