Volunteer Vet Clinic Theatre & Laboratory Assistant (Glasgow)

We are looking for individuals who want to be part of the rescue by helping us in our Vet Clinic as Laboratory and Theatre Assistants. This will include performing lab tests on animal samples, processing surgical equipment, ensuring it is clean and in working order, helping to prepare theatres for us and monitoring dogs and cats as they wake up after anaesthetic. We need your help for 1 to 2 hours at a time on a weekly basis. We are looking for volunteers who are keen to learn new skills and are able to work in a precise and careful manner. Experience with animals is necessary. Full training will be provided, including how to perform the required laboratory tests, how to monitor animals in the post op recovery period and how to correctly handle and clean instruments.
